The first time I called Charlie Orme we talked for about an hour. Not because we needed to, it just happened. The guy is interesting that’s all. That call led to a production for a client on his farm in rural Arizona, which led to more interesting conversations. After that initial shoot Kris Roller (who I did the original shoot with), kept playing with the footage and started sending me edits. That was the beginning of the long process of making this poetic passion project rooted in the relationship between Charlie and his daughter. I hope you take the time to watch this piece on a bigger screen, with better speakers than your phone. But more than anything I hope this piece makes you feel something.
